Rev Jonathan Hunt BSc Ba is our current minister at Harlow Baptist Church. He is known by many as Joth. He is 40 years old and married to Sue and they have a 8 year-old son, Tim.

During 1992-94 Joth spent 3 years studying at London Bible College (now known as the London College of Theology) before joining the Christian organisation Viz-A-Viz for a further 7 years. He became a director at Viz-A-Viz and oversaw three town-wide schools ministries, a year-out project for young people and a youth festival (SOLID) catering for 400 young people. During his time at Viz-A-Viz he was also a chaplain to a young offender’s institution and spoke at churches, universities and schools across the United Kingdom.

Joth is a keen supporter of Liverpool FC and kids himself that he can still play. He enjoys being with his family and friends and travelling. He has a dislike of cheese and thinks chocolate is overrated.

Joth, Sue and Tim moved to Harlow in October 2001.
